Last week, I had the privilege of presenting in Baltimore as part of HubSpot Day at the beginning of the National Technology conference (NTC). This event was focused on fundraising and operational best practices for nonprofits. One of the highlights of the day was the launch of Benevolent Tech's Mission Action Pack (MAP) – a groundbreaking framework designed to empower nonprofits by integrating fundraising, marketing, and action data management into an intuitive system on the HubSpot platform. Excitingly, SureImpact is now part of this innovative Mission Action Pack, bringing its powerful impact measurement capabilities to the forefront.
Introducing Benevolent Tech's Mission Action Pack (MAP)
It's more important than ever for nonprofits to have technology that supports their mission. Benevolent Tech's MAP is a purpose-built solution that combines various aspects of nonprofit operations into a single, easy-to-use platform. Here are some key highlights:
Unified System: MAP integrates fundraising, marketing, and data management, providing nonprofits with a streamlined and efficient way to manage their operations.
Real-Time Intelligence: The platform offers real-time data and flexibility, allowing nonprofits to connect their data and key integrations seamlessly.
Ecosystem of Partners: Supported by mission-aligned partners, MAP provides additional tools for online fundraising, direct mail, event management, and more.
Next-Generation Capabilities: Upcoming integrations will include payment processing, data enrichment, impact measurement, case management, advocacy tools, and donor analytics.
MAP aims to provide nonprofits with a modern and adaptable alternative to traditional CRM systems, helping them scale, streamline, and succeed in their missions.
Demonstrating Impact with SureImpact
During my presentation, I showcased SureImpact, a tool that helps nonprofits track, measure, and communicate their unique impact. Nonprofits using SureImpact data have reported increasing their revenues year over year due to having access to impact data.
I emphasized that impact measurement is not just about the number of people served or the dollars raised. Instead, it is the quantification of how people are better off as a result of a nonprofit. SureImpact shepherds in a new model of fundraising, where organizations collect mission-centric data in real-time and receive real-time analytics about their impact. This allows grant writers and fundraisers to incorporate impact data into grant reports seamlessly.
Addressing Challenges in Impact Measurement
As part of the process, we had the opportunity to workshop the challenges and opportunities around impact measurement with a small group of participants. Here are some key challenges we discussed and how SureImpact addresses them:
What to Measure?
Many nonprofits struggle with clarity on what specific data they should measure. The solution is to develop an organizational-wide impact measurement framework. Working with strategic partners such as Measurement Resources Company, Social Impact Solutions, or Knowledge Advisory Group can help guide nonprofits into a comprehensive measurement framework that aligns programmatic outputs and outcomes. SureImpact also offers a library of built-in measures and can recommend industry-best practice measures.
Streamlining Data Collection and Analysis
Organizations often face challenges with centralized data collection and analysis. Data can be siloed by department, and leaders may struggle to analyze it to create a compelling story. SureImpact overcomes this challenge by aligning the organization's measurement framework with their workflow, providing real-time analytics, and demonstrating the impact at each program level.
Telling the Longitudinal Story
Nonprofits often struggle to demonstrate the long-term impact of their work. SureImpact helps by giving organizations visibility into the lifecycle of their clients, tracking longitudinal outcomes, and focusing on what the organization has specific control over.
Conclusion
HubSpot Day was an inspiring event that highlighted the importance of integrating technology into nonprofit operations. Benevolent Tech's Mission Action Pack and SureImpact are leading the way in providing nonprofits with the tools they need to measure their impact, streamline their operations, and succeed in their missions. By addressing key challenges and offering innovative solutions, these platforms are empowering nonprofits to make a greater difference in the world.
